A year ago today...

This was me a year ago today. I almost can't believe it. You were all so kind to me, even though someone should have informed me I was AS BIG AS A HOUSE!

A year ago today, I picked my mom up from the airport and we all went to bed knowing that when we woke up we would be going to the hospital to meet Garrett and Paige. I was so nervous about the delivery and about how Molly would do. And now I look back and am amazed what a perfectly flawless twin pregnancy and delivery we were blessed with. Here they are when they arrived. Do you know which one is Garrett and which one is Paige?

Tomorrow they will be one. I've been reflecting a lot over the last week. This birthday is definitely a celebration that we all survived the last year (including dear Molly). It was a tough year and part of me is glad it's over. But the other part of me is a little emotional with the knowledge that we're "done". Our babies are now toddlers and there will be no more babies in the van Riessen household. But at least when I look at the maternity picture above, I'm just glad I'm not carrying them around like that anymore! Yikes!
