Today was the SMOM Halloween Trunk-or-Treat party. This is always such a fun event and this year there were probably 40 families that came out and decorated their vehicles so the kids could go trunk to trunk for treats. This year my kids decided they wanted to be pirates. Actually, they originally wanted to be the Three Musketeers, but I talked them down to "pirates" because it was impossible to find musketeer costumes without sewing something. And as always, my time is in limited supply lately. But when they found out they could still have swords, they were appeased.
I had NO idea how to decorate our trunk this year, and I didn't have a ton of time that day to put it together. So I thought about what was the one thing we had a LOT of. And the answer was... Barbie. So we put together a Barbie wonderland in the back of our van.
It's always fun to see all the cute twins and triplets in the matching/coordinating costumes. And this year was no exception.
But the costume of the year in my book goes to my friend, Christy, who came as the crazy "cat lady". It was an homage to her neighbor.
