2012 Cowan Jog-a-thon

Today was the Jog-a-thon for Molly's school.  I was so happy that I was able to go and cheer her on.  It's always such an exciting event for the kids, and the school does a fabulous job getting everyone pumped up for the run, including a special appearance by the mascot.

Unfortunately, during her first lap Molly fell and it shook her up.  She wanted to give up.  Thankfully, I had my running shoes on so I left my camera with a friend and ran the rest of the time with her.  I was so proud of her because she really pushed herself and ran eleven laps... almost two full miles.  She did a great job, and I got my work out for the day.

And here's Molly and her friend enjoying their post-run popsicle.  This picture cracks me up because it shows you how TALL she is compared to some of the other girls in her class.

Thanks to all our family that supported Molly in her run.  She raised the most money in her class and as a result, won free tickets to a roller skating rink, a school bag and school water bottle.  She was one happy camper.
