Road Trip 2011: Part 3

On our third day in British Columbia, Michelle and Todd had the family over for dinner. When my sister and her husband invite you for dinner... you ALWAYS accept the invitation with the knowledge that the meal is going to be absolutely amazing. And once again they didn't disappoint. Those two can cook! Here's Shell relaxing with Alex...


One of the highlights for my kids was their cat, Esso. He's such a beautiful cat with a HUGE personality. I was amazed how patient he was with my toddlers.


The other highlight for Garrett was the bubbles that Aunt Shelly provided. By the end of the evening their entire back patio was covered with soap. He was covered with soap. And other guests were covered in soap from him flinging it everywhere.


I don't have many pictures of Paige because she was a little overwhelmed by all the people and didn't come out of her shell (read: she was stuck to me) until the very end. And Maya and Molly were off playing Barbies for the majority of the evening. I give Maya a LOT of credit for her patience in playing with Molly all day considering she's 5 years older. I'm sure she was a little sick of Barbies by the time we left!

The highlight for me was seeing my Aunt Cathy and Uncle John. I hadn't seen my Aunt Cathy since I was pregnant with the twins and even then we didn't get to have much of a visit. It was so great to catch up with both of them!
