Then the kids enjoyed the egg hunt that Daddy had strategically set-up in the living room. He filled the plastic eggs with teddy grahams and goldfish (and a few with candy) so Garrett and Paige could enjoy the spoils. However most of the eggs were obviously found by Molly. She was so sweet and would share all her bounty equally with her brother and sister (completely unprompted by us). It was very special to watch. After a big breakfast and quick nap for Garrett and Paige, it was off to church which was followed up by a second egg hunt. By now Molly was a pro, and it was interesting to watch her select some eggs over others based on their color or if she could see what was inside. While most kids were filling their baskets as quickly as possible, she was carefully deciding on which eggs would come home with her.

Garrett and Paige preferred to watch this from the comfort of their stroller...

After an afternoonnap, we were off to Aunt Nancy and Uncle Fred's house for dinner. The evening started out with an exciting gosling rescue. Mommy and Daddy Goose had led their babies into the pool for a swim. However, the little babies couldn't get back out. Lucky for them we just happened to have two brave men with nets that could come to the rescue!

As always, the cousins had a blast playing together. They range in age from college-age to 5 months old, yet they all seem to have fun with one another!

After dinner Molly had her THIRD egg hunt. She was particularly excited when she found out that half of these eggs had money in them.

All in all, it was a fabulous Easter. This year, Steve and I decided that the Easter bunny would no longer be coming to our house. That's not to say our kids didn't have baskets or egg hunts, but we really wanted to emphasize the fact that we were celebrating that Jesus was alive and that's what Easter is all about. So happy Easter everybody! He is risen indeed!
