Back to the 80's...

This weekend we celebrated my friend's 30th birthday (see DeAnna's blog here) with an awesome 80's party. Everyone came decked out in their best retro garb, and DeAnna was dressed as Jem (from Jem and the Holograms). Steve dug out his pink shirt and fake "rat tail", and I donned my pinch-rolled jeans, shoulder-padded blazer, and side ponytail.


DeAnna's husband Freddie also set-up a carnival-style photo booth using some cool computer software and the digital camera on his laptop. Here's the shots we took after I had just completed jamming on "Rock Band" and was on a bit of an adrenaline high.


It was also a special evening because it was the first time we had ever let someone else put Garrett and Paige to bed... and they not only survived, but were happy the entire time we were gone. Special thanks to Kirk and Marianne! What great friends you are to volunteer your Saturday evening to bless us with babysitting services. Love you!
