Easter preparations...

In preparation for this weekend's Easter festivities, Molly and I died eggs on Friday. This is the first year we had done this, because last year we had 2-month old twins (and had NO energy) and any years prior to that Molly was just too young. So, to ensure a festive spirit we donned our bunny ears (as seen in this self portrait).

Molly couldn't wait to get the eggs out of the dye so she could break out the stickers and puffy paint. I contained the mess the best that I could, but needless to say her PJ's were ruined. That's alright... it was worth watching her enjoy herself.

Molly was VERY excited about this edible art project. She loves eggs, but had only ever seen them raw or scrambled. So before they even made it into the dye baths, she had to break into one to see what a hard-boiled egg looked and tasted like. She loved them and had eaten two before the day was over. All in all... a fun and festive project!
