The Great Escape

This summer our church was given the opportunity to "tag along" with another church in our denomination on their annual family camping trip called The Great Escape.  I believe this was Rock Harbor Church's 9th time organizing the Great Escape and they had it down to a fine science.  For the relatively small cost, we received all our meals (except breakfast), children's programs, awesome worship and access to boats for skiing and tubing.  How could we NOT go?  (even though it was just FOUR days after we got home from Canada)

Needless to say, it was a fabulous time.  They had an amazing children's program that we dropped our kids off at every morning.  They instantly made our kids feel important and loved.

While the kids were having fun, the adults enjoyed some worship music and some preaching.  I was amazed with the sound system they were able to power off of a generator!

Then in the afternoon we packed a picnic lunch (that they provided) and headed to the beach..  It was so much fun just to relax with the kids and kick back with our church family.  The Quayles also joined us for the day, and Molly was extremely happy to see her buddy Keilani.  I also had the pleasure of taking Molly and Keilani on their first tubing experience!

We also had the pleasure of watching a couple people in our congregation get baptized.  In fact, our pastor got to baptize his very own son!

Needless to say, by the time we left the kids were EXHAUSTED and Steve and I were struggling to hold it all together.  But it was definitely worth spending three fabulous nights with the best church family ever!
