Yesterday, we celebrated Independence Day early with some friends at their neighborhood clubhouse. It was a fabulous time, complete with a pool-side cabana, potluck BBQ, live Cajun-style music, and pools suitable for both adults and kids. Even though it was hectic keeping track of the three kiddies and keeping everyone happy, it was seriously the most fun I've had in a while! And Molly had such a fun time I had to bribe her with a chocolate chip cookie to get her to leave without a meltdown. Here she is with some of her friends in the kids pool (photos taken by my friend DeAnna). She was hesitant to get in the pool because of her multiple owies on her thumb and toe, but eventually decided she could at least get her toe wet.
Paige and Garrett loved being able to watch all the commotion, but Paige preferred to watch things while attached to me. But she eventually tuckered out and I spent half the evening with a sleeping baby hanging on me!
And of course, the mommies and daddies got to visit in spurts amidst chasing our children around. Here's the mommies watching the kids by the pool.
