The we went up to Steve's cousins house for their neighborhood celebration. They live on a cul-de-sac, and all their neighbors are young families with small children. They close off the street and have a huge potluck with and inflatable waterslide, games and fireworks. It was really fun. And all the kids decorate their bikes and ride in a parade! Here's Molly and Broday on their bikes. You'll notice how pathetic Molly's bike decorations are. We ran out of time.
And all the kids that participated got a bag of candy at the end. Molly's favorite was the ring pop!
As usual Paige spent part of the evening passed out in the carrier. She doesn't like to sleep in her car seat when we're out in case she misses something. And if you try and put her down... she wakes with a scream. Garrett, on the other hand, prefers to sleep somewhere completely removed from the craziness.
As exhausted as they were, Molly and her cousin Brody stayed up to watch the fireworks. Molly was scared at first but quickly got over it. Brody enjoyed it but couldn't make it to the end and passed out in his Daddy's arms!
Molly also enjoyed playing with the sparklers! And I enjoyed playing with my camera and tripod to capture the light!
