The Dragon Cheetahs

This fall Garrett played soccer for the first time.  The kids on his team were all kindergartners, and were absolutely adorable.  At the first practice they chatted about what to name the team.  Half the kids wanted to be "The Dragons" and half wanted to be the "Cheetahs".  So together they decided that they would be the "Dragon Cheetahs".  It was so much fun watching Garrett's skills grow over the season.  It was also abundantly clear that Garrett was the team "encourager", and you would constantly hear him saying that people were doing a good job or giving them high-fives.  During one game my Mom was in town and was able to watch it with me.  He scored THREE goals during the game and Mom and I were hoarse from screaming by the end.  His final goal tally by the end of of the season was five points.  We are super proud of what a great job he did!
