Fall has arrived

Yesterday Sacramento got the first rain that it's had in a long time. Where I grew up it was a rare occasion when it WASN'T raining, and I laughed at how excited my kids were to see the downpour. They wanted to be out splashing in the puddles immediately. So considering it was right before bath time we figured... why not? They started with boots and shoes on...


But it didn't take long until those shoes came off...


Next thing I know they're playing "Ring Around the Rosey" and literally sitting in the puddles. It's amazing how novel rain and puddles are to them! I guess that's the difference between growing up in California and growing up in British Columbia!


And as the sun was setting, it made for beautiful reflections in the puddles!
