Garrett was 31 lbs 6 oz which was the 84th percentile. He measured a whopping 3 ft 1.25 inches which was the 97th percentile. He's going to be a BIG kid, and looks likes he's already three years old. He's also extremely smart. By his second birthday he was already able to count to 20, recognizes ALL his uppercase letters, and almost all his lower case letters. I'd love to take credit for his knowledge, but he learned it all from playing with Molly's toy laptop. He's obsessed with it, and has pretty much taught himself everything. He's also become quite enamored with his father, and wakes up every morning and afternoon wailing for "Daaaddddddyyyyyyy!". This is fine when Steve is around, but when he's not and I show up to get him, Garrett is less than pleased.
Paige was 28 lbs 3.2 oz which was the 68th percentile. She gets the prize for being my petite child. She measured 2 ft 11.3 inches which was the 87th percentile, and like Garrett is becoming quite lean. She also gets the prize for being my easiest child right now. As long as she's receiving a LOT of cuddles (read: clings to me 24-7) she is quite mellow. She plays well by herself, shares well, and is really empathetic. Her language skills are growing daily and she's actually becoming "chattier". Her favorite thing is mothering her baby dolls or stuffed animals, and she's just such a loving little girl.
While digging through old pictures of their grandma, we also recently figured out who Paige looks like! Her Grandma Shirley! Here's a couple of pictures of her when she was little. Can you see the resemblance?
